Shipping & Delivery Policy

We're a small, owner operated bookshop. We ship orders within the US and offer free local pickup at our bookshop in Waterford, NY. Continue reading to learn more about our shipping and handling policies. 

Processing Time

Orders are generally prepared for shipment within 1-3 business days. Carrier transit time is not included, as it begins once the carrier has your package. If you need a package by a specific date please reach out to confirm it will arrive in time before placing your order. 

Shipping Rates and Services

Orders under $50 ship via USPS Media Mail for a flat $5. Orders of $50 or more ship for free via USPS Media Mail. Faster priority shipping is available for an additional cost that is calculated at checkout.

We currently only ship to the US.

Tracking Your Order

Every shipping service we use includes a tracking number. Shopify will send shipment notifiications and tracking updates as your package moves through the carrier system. 

Local Pickup

Please wait until you receive a notification that your order is ready before coming to pick it up from the store. When you arrive you can ask for your pickup order at the counter. 

Incorrect Shipping Addresses

For security reasons, we will not change the shipping address on an existing order. If an address is incorrent then we will cancel the order and issue a full refund so that a new order can be placed with the correct address.

Delayed, Missing or Damaged Packages

Shipping problems are handled individually. We will review what happened and generally reach out to confirm how the customer prefers the issue to be resolved if there is more than one option. Carrier delays may sometimes require additional investigation or waiting time.

Returns

Our shipping policy and willingness to go the extra mile for our customers does not replace our refund policy. Please review that policy for return eligibility and instructions.
